Before I met my current girlfriend, most of the girls I dated eventually ended up in relationships with me. These were women who fell in love with me and who I shared chemistry with.
Unfortunately I always felt something was missing from them. However the woman I’m dating now is absolutely amazing. She’s supportive of my goals, keeps me grounded, funny, and won’t put up with my shit when she knows I’m wrong, but at the same time has a feminine side that appeals to me.
In this long blog series I wanted to share with my readers the best way to get a girlfriend. And how you can use these communication skills and tips to help you become a great boyfriend, not only in the short term but for the long term.
Best Way to Get a Girlfriend: Know Your Core
The first issue that blocks guys from getting a girlfriend is that most guys don’t even know who they are. There will always be characteristics that will change over a lifetime but the core of a person should not change. The values that he stands for should remain the same.
For example, do you believe in the philosophy of an eye for an eye or do you believe in forgive, forget and learn? Do you believe that love can last forever, or that love comes and goes?
Women are dying for men who know what they stand for. Women want to know what men are willing to sacrifice and even die for. They’re tired of dealing with boys that are constantly floundering from place to place. Women need a man who has core strength that he understands.
For example some of my core principles are these:
1) Focus on the most important activities that generate the best health, wealth, relationships and contribution.
2) Be bold, brave, courageous and confident.
3) Finding ways to make money passively is vital to financial freedom.
4) Be grateful for the friends I have and always make time for them.
5) Relationships will always be more important than money.
6) Dream big, but always take steps every day to make that dream come true.
7) Help 2 million people find the love of their life by enhancing their communication skills.
Those that do not have a strong inner core will naturally have trouble with second issue.
The Best Way to Get a Girlfriend: Learn to Describe Yourself
The second issue that guys have that prevent them from finding a girlfriend is that they have trouble describing who they are in a way that a woman understands. As a man you may understand what you stand for, but you may be talking in a way that makes it hard for her to emotionally relate to you. She needs to clearly understand and feel the core of who you are.
An old friend of mine was studying material from the pick up community. He was studying so much and using routines that eventually they became part of who he was. He wasn’t as successful as he could have been.
When it came time for him to genuinely describe who he was, what kind of values he stood for, and to share stories about himself, he wasn’t able to do that. And I truly believe that he was not able to develop that deep emotional connection with women.
When you describe yourself, particularly through storytelling or emotional sharing, you will see that women start to understand more of who you are. If you rely on pick up lines, or techniques, or routines then you’ll find maintaining a relationship will be difficult. They are helpful but they are only helpful to the man who already knows what he stands for.
If you are looking for a quick fun fling, then by all means, use those lines. If you are looking for the best way to find a girlfriend then you have to be able to describe what you stand for in this world. You have to understand your own emotional journey in life and find the right words to describe that journey.
You need to understand what areas make you feel confident and which areas you’re willing to talk vulnerably about without being needy.
Imagine working for two companies. One is able to clearly articulate its goals and its mission statement. It has guidance and direction and expresses them in a way that motivates and enthuses you.
Now imagine a company that doesn’t have clear values and is vague about what they do. Which of the two companies seems more attractive to work for?
